Direct Drilling OSR
August 2020
A difficult Harvest season this year, but the OSR drilling has gone well as the wet conditions have helped the seed get a good start. We use a Fendt 943 with 6m Vaderstad Rapide drill teamed with a Grange Farm Machinery LDT. Appling starter fertilizer and Slug Pellets all at the same time to get an optimum start on the crop.
Delivery of our New Ideal 9T combines

A very exciting day, as we took delivery of our new Ideal Combines from Peacock & Binnington. Followed by a couple of days training on the working systems, also provided by P&B and Fendt. Can’t wait to get them into the field!
Harvest Health and Safety Presentation

The arable team all attended our Harvest Health and Safety presentation. Working with the NFU Risk Management Sevices. It is an important few hours in the office providing information and discussing keeping safe at work.
Pea Harvest has begun!

Working with Birds Eye, we are proud to be growing the finest peas. One of our fields has been harvested early in the season, and we have a fair few more acres of peas happily growing waiting harvest in another month or so.

After a difficult wet Spring it has been a relief to see the sunshine these last few weeks and to finally get out into the fields, applying slurry and sprays to the fields plus sowing spring crops.
